Networking day 2011

The 2011 IHRN networking day will be held in The Minella Hotel on Saturday the 15Th of October.

We plan to incorporate a showcase seminar on setting up a Hospital station as part of  this years event.

This showcase will consist of  a DVD presentation and pamphlets about Hospital Radio, There will also be information available on the benefits to the patients and the costs and technicalities of setting up  a hospital station,  We intend to invite Hospital managers who may be interested in establishing a radio station in their Hospital to the event. If you are  a Hospital Manager and would like an invite or further information please contact the IHRN secretary.

IHRN Awards 2011

  1. Richard Smith Award:
      This award is open to all members of each Station

  2. Chairpersons Award:
    Nominations for this Award Can be forwarded to the Manager of each station.  Each Manager can Nominate a person or persons for the award with a brief profile of each nominee( not more than 250 words)
  3.  New Presenter of the year:
     Presenters who have joined a station in the last 18 months are eligible to be nominated for this award. 

  4. Irish Bi Lingual award.
    Nominees should be seen as promoting the Irish Language. Programmes can be presented  in all spoken Irish or Bi Lingual(programme can be presented in Irish/English)
  5.  Irish Music Programme:
    Nominees should be seen as promoting Irish Artists and music. The category can include POP, Country,Traditional,Ballads etc recorded by Irish Artists.


  6. Specialist Music Awards:
    This year this category gas been divided into four sections with an award presented in each section.

  7. Presenter of the Year:
    Any person presenting a programme can nominate themselves for this award the format will have a winner from each station. Each Winner will receive an award and then the judging panel will choose an Overall winner from those individual winners.

 

Nominations must be given to to  the IHRN Representative at each station in a sealed envelope withe the Category and nominees name written on the front of the envelope.
The final date for entries is the 30th of June 2011.No entries will be accepted after this date.
Nominees can use Cd or mp3s for their audio clip (Each clip must not be more than 3 minutes duration)

The Chairman's Award and Richard Smith Award Should consist of a written submission. 

Judging Panel

Three judges will be nominated, they will be totally independent of each station.
